Summer Dress Code = form fitting dance/athletic wear (any color), appropriate shoes & hair back. See below for Ballet Intensive.

CLASSES & CAMPS

DROP-IN CLASSES

JULY 8, 10, 15, 17

Our Monday & Wednesday evening drop-in classes are a great way to continue your training all summer long! These classes are open to current or new dancers. Use your rising grade to register.

TECHNIQUE WEEKS

JULY 22 - 25

Our Technique Weeks focus on building well rounded dancers with daily Ballet, Acro, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Turns/Leaps, & more! Current staff, new staff ~ Keara Nichols & guest artists!

DANCE TEAM WORKSHOPS

Take class from college dance team dancers (MN, WI, & Michigan!) and EDT alumni. Dancers will work on turns, leaps, jumps, kicks, and overall flexibility and strength. Classes are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

JULY 19

Join Emily Jeffcoat, University of Minnesota Dance Team, for a
high-energy, powerful JAZZ TECHNIQUE class.

BANUET METHOD WORKSHOPS

Take class or book a private with Gabriela Banuet!

Gabriela Banuet is a certified Personal Fitness and Pilates trainer, and former professional company dancer. The Banuet Training Method is a corrective method that uses biomechanics to improve technique. Dancers build strength and flexibility, as well as learn proper alignment and fundamentals (for injury prevention).

Dancers are engaged through her unique process using a variety of equipment to supplement the exercises, and Gabriela focuses on individual corrections & methods for maximum personalized benefit.

AUDITIONS

Audition Week for our Competition Program focuses not just on the auditions themselves, but the skills training our competitive dancers need for the upcoming season! ELEVATE your dance abilities and get a real life audition experience!

Make-Up Auditions are an option if you are unable to attend audition week. Make-up auditions can be scheduled up until the 2024-25 season begins. Register for 'Competition: Make-Up Auditions' in your Parent Portal.

Solo/Duo/Trio Auditions for returning SDT dancers starts on June 27 if you would like an earlier option. Returning & NEW SDT dancers can also audition on July 31. View more SDT Audition INFO HERE.

PRIVATE LESSONS

June - Aug

Private lessons are a beneficial way to continue training, but in a personalized setting. Dancers can choose from 30-min or 60-min lessons, including acro, ballet & technique. Lessons are offered with assistants, tier 1, and 2 instructors based on teaching experience.

New to privates? E-mail Miss Lexi prior to booking. It is important to develop a training plan that includes consistency & goal setting.

Returning? If you are a returning SDT dancer & has continued your weekly lesson slot this summer, no need to book here.

AUGUST

COMP CAMP

Comp Camp is our official CHOREOGRAPHY week and team kick-off to our upcoming season! Dancers will take ballet, acro, jazz classes alongside teammates and begin 24-25 routines.

August 5 - 11 (Junior & up)
August 12 - 16 (Pixies, Minis & Petites)

TEAM CLASSES

AUG 19, 21, 26 & 28

Dancers will begin classes with their Season 15 team! They will review choreography from Comp Camp and begin next season’s curriculum. Attendance is flexible, but highly recommended.

Pixies/Minis (4:30 - 6:15 pm)

Petites (5:15 - 7:15 pm)

Juniors (5:30 - 8:30 pm)

6th Grade & up (6:15-9:15 pm)
